For Clinicians

Many clinicians enter the field of behavior analysis because they care deeply about helping learners build meaningful, autonomous lives. The science is strong, the mission is compelling, and the work matters.

But the work of clinical practice is complex.

Early in their careers, clinicians are often expected to design programs, supervise staff, and make high-stakes clinical decisions in real time. Many find themselves responsible for solving difficult clinical problems while still learning how to think through those problems themselves.

You care about doing the work well.

You want to become a stronger clinician.

The Institute for Clinical Excellence was created for clinicians who want to deepen their clinical thinking, strengthen their instructional design, and develop greater confidence in their decision-making.

Rather than relying solely on lecture-based instruction, Institute programs emphasize discussion, analysis, and application to real clinical work. Participants examine patterns of learner behavior, analyze instructional decisions, and refine their clinical judgment through guided learning experiences.

Two Ways to Train With The Institute

Clinicians may engage with The Institute in two primary ways.

Team Meeting Discussion

Train With Your Organization

Many clinicians participate in Institute programs through training provided within their organizations. These experiences allow teams to strengthen their clinical thinking together while examining the programming and instructional decisions that shape their day-to-day work.

Train Within the Precision ABA Learning Center

Clinicians may also participate in training experiences held within the Precision ABA learning center in Naperville, Illinois, where Institute training takes place within an active clinical environment.

In this environment, participants observe and analyze real instruction with learners while engaging in discussion with experienced clinicians. Training within our clinic allows clinicians to examine behavior, instruction, and decision-making as it unfolds in real time.

Who This Is For

Institute training is designed for clinicians who want to:

Strengthen clinical thinking and decision-making

Deepen understanding of instructional design

Improve ability to analyze behavior and learning patterns

Refine supervision and teaching practices

Continue developing fluency as practitioners

And for those who wish their supervisors got it right in the first place.
